Spectators: 6522 (Terracing: 5380, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Robustiano Bazil got the match started through his kick off. Virgilio Tohias hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Malleo's Laureano Bermudez tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. TP MATANZA's Justo Sanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Bazil in the 8th minute of play. In the 15th minute Robustiano Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Sanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teodosio Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20thth minute of the game Teodosio Montxo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malleo's Lucas Sotil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Montxo in the 21st minute of play forced Malleo's goalkeeper Lucas Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TP MATANZA's Fernando Sarracino got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bartolo Ekhi hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Malleo's Oscar Gimenez got a free kick in the 30th minute. TP MATANZA's Teodosio Montxo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Malleo booed when TP MATANZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Montxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Sotil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Montxo in the 38th minute of the match. Lucas Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Sarracino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Montxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Sotil having to interfere. Teodosio Montxo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Lucas Sotil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TP MATANZA. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Sarracino was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, one of Malleo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malleo. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for TP MATANZA. Feliciano Jerrold stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lucas Sotil. 0-1. 63 minutes into the match, TP MATANZA's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Estefan came free, but Justo Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Sotil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Sarracino in the 64th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Malleo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Malleo:s Lucas Sotil showed great skill when he stopped Feliciano Jerrold:s penalty. When Teodosio Montxo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the TP MATANZA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Montxo couldn't finish the play. Bartolo Ekhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Malleo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fernando Sarracino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Justo Sanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Estefan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bartolo Ekhi's late challenge caught a TP MATANZA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartolo Ekhi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of TP MATANZA booed when Malleo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Ekhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Virgilio Tohias in the 98th minute really tested Lucas Sotil's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
