TP MATANZA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ignacio Huly 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Huly in the 16th minute of play forced TP MATANZA's goalkeeper Justo Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TP MATANZA's Justo Sanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Huly in the 20th minute of play. Andres Aznar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Sarracino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Sarracino in the 26th minute of play forced Oilers's goalkeeper Andres Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauricio Lando was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for TP MATANZA! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Oilers's Delmiro Rivero got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Justo Sanson. In the 36th match minute, TP MATANZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Munio to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Montxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, TP MATANZA's Teodosio Montxo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Aznar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teodosio Montxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Aznar having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The corner led TP MATANZA's Luis Cristos to fire away a dangerous shot which Andres Aznar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Teodosio Montxo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 67 minutes into the match, TP MATANZA's Teodosio Montxo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Aznar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Huly in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Sanson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Garaile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Justo Sanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Angelo Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the TP MATANZA defense, Ignacio Huly kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justo Sanson. The TP MATANZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justo Sanson should have stopped the shot. Angelo Garaile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Sanson having to interfere. TP MATANZA's Justo Sanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Garaile in the 96th minute of play. TP MATANZA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
