Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5433, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Damario started the match with the kick off. Orlando Loren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Valentin Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Gelacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Virgilio Tancredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ambos Mundos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Encón the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Ambos Mundos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Encón:s goal. Miguel Damario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bonifacio Basualdo having to make a save. A collision led to Encón getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Clodoveo Asur hit a great ball. Encón's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Miguel Damario scored to the left of an out of position Bonifacio Basualdo, making the score, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Ambos Mundos's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Loren came free, but Valentin Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Basualdo having to interfere. Bonifacio Basualdo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desiderio Osoro in the 34th minute. Claudio Gelacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Nicholas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Miguel Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambos Mundos's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bonifacio Basualdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Adolfo Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Miguel Damario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Encón's Orlando Loren got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Loren made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Miguel Damario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Loren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Encón's Orlando Loren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Honorio Procopio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Gelacio in the 70th minute. If Orlando Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorio Procopio during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Claudio Gelacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Encón got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Bento. Desiderio Osoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bonifacio Basualdo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Desiderio Osoro ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Munio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Damario in the 94th minute of play forced Encón's goalkeeper Bonifacio Basualdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Gelacios short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Valentin Nicholas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
