With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haroldo Eztebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 44 minutes, Mario Cutberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Durazno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Cutberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugenio Birjaio struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Haroldo Eztebe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Durazno. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nunez Deunoro made a kick off. If Mario Cutberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Abel Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Cutberto in the 90th minute of the match. Eugenio Birjaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Eztebe having to interfere. Abel Balesio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Nunez Deunoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Durazno fully deserved thier win.
