Ilvermorny FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Pio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. From close distance Astor Pio pressed in the 2-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 22 minutes into the game. In the 25th minute, Ilvermorny FC's Gonzalo Abad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Salvador Ledesma. Salvador Ledesma yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. After 29 played minutes, Estomba AFC's Patricio Pacho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sergio Chago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estomba AFC reached it. Sergio Chago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Henric, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Ilvermorny FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Silvanito. 38 minutes into the game, Froilan Pancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Sergio Chago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, Ilvermorny FC's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Pancho came free, but Sergio Chago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilvermorny FC's Prudencio Abeita suffered a sore thigh after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Virgilio Elixio fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estomba AFC's protests and gave Virgilio Elixio a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Astor Pio made a kick off. Silverio Kiliz kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Estomba AFC's Jacinto Cordeara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ilvermorny FC. Teobaldo Dalmau kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Estomba AFC's zone, Astor Pio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Ledesma came out of the goal and Astor Pio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Astor Pio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Ledesma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Pio in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Estomba AFC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Pancho. Ilvermorny FC's Astor Pio got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Astor Pio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Salvador Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victorino Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Estomba AFC's Patricio Pacho got a free kick in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ilvermorny FC had won after a very even match.
