Sergio Chago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Sugar in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Ilvermorny FC's goalkeeper Sergio Chago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Abreu. If Astor Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Abad struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Alfonso Hartz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilvermorny FC. Alfonso Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Pio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Alfonso Hartz came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilvermorny FC's Gonzalo Abad. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Abad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alfonso Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Abad, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Astor Pio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Hartz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Carpintería was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Ferdinand to maneuver through the defense. Astor Pio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Hartz having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Carpintería got a freekick which was hit by Christian Gelacio. In the 32nd minute of the match Everardo Lazcano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Hartz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfonso Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Pio in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Astor Pio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Chago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Ilvermorny FC booed when Carpintería was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Mannuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 50th minute Ilvermorny FC were awarded a corner. Americo Seber went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ilvermorny FC's corner Americo Seber fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfonso Hartz quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Everardo Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergio Chago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Everardo Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. Jesus Sugar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Chago having to make a save. Sergio Chago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Sugar in the 60th minute of play. Everardo Abreu scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Chago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Astor Pio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gonzalo Abad came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ilvermorny FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Abad couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Jesus Sugar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Carpintería's Jesus Sugar got a free kick in the 74th minute. Everardo Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Chago having to interfere. Jesus Sugar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ilvermorny FC's Gonzalo Abad in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carpintería's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Astor Pio got free with Alfonso Hartz in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silverio Kiliz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfonso Hartz came out and tried to block the shot, but Silverio Kiliz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 97th minute.
