The long shot by Evaristo Sesuldo in the 11th minute really tested Luciano Gregory's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Freddy Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Lesardo having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, C A Talleres CBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Fagondo to maneuver through the defense. In the 31stth minute of the game Ernesto Bikendi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trampa's Luciano Gregory was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Damaso Estevon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benicio Eladio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jimeno Lesardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Gregory made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Bikendi in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Freddy Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Lesardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Bikendi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C A Talleres CBA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Norberto Beremundo in the 54th minute. The corner led C A Talleres CBA's Norberto Beremundo to fire away a dangerous shot which Luciano Gregory despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jimeno Lesardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Eladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the game, C A Talleres CBA's Ernesto Bikendi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Gregory made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Evaristo Sesuldo charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Sesuldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Damaso Estevon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damaso Estevon might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Gregory. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Estevon ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the game, Feliciano Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trampa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C A Talleres CBA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Trampa's Feliciano Santana got a free kick in the 74th minute. The supporters of Trampa booed when C A Talleres CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Guillelmus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Abechuco got free with Jimeno Lesardo in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Gregory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Estevon in the 95th minute of the match. Ernesto Bikendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
