Severo Tomi hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente FC's zone, Basilio Henry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Henry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Ospin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Machado in the 46th minute of play forced Independiente FC's goalkeeper Danilo Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Independiente FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cereales AFC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basilio Henry to make the kick off. Raul Quilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes Independiente FC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Quinteros. Independiente FC's Danilo Ospin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente FC from getting a goal against them. If Basilio Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
