With an all-out effort, Hunter FC's Lázaro Hartz threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jacinto Emeterio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gualterio Olayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Hartz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cereales AFC's Severo Tomi got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of Hunter FC booed when Cereales AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Tomi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Ubaldo Chico sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lázaro Hartz skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Anier Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cereales AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Emeterio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 79 minutes of play, Hunter FC's Jacinto Emeterio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lázaro Hartz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermengildo Kaiet during the 82nd minute. Hermengildo Kaiet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Lázaro Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hunter FC had won after a very even match.
