Maximino Marino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Hartz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Horacio Belmiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Farmacia A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cereales AFC the free kick. After 18 played minutes, Cereales AFC's Vladimiro Harkaitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clodoveo Cordarryl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cereales AFC reached it. Generoso Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Maximino Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Hartz having to interfere. Maximino Marino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Lázaro Hartz made a huge save. Clodoveo Cordarryl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basilio Henry's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. A collision led to Farmacia A getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Candido Medina hit a great ball. When Anier Machado came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Cereales AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Machado couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Anier Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
