Godfredo Jacindo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. With his leg Francisco Pabla managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Apuyaco's Amancio Eutropio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 10 minutes, Vinicio Lluc made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Apuyaco's Gonzalo Rik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ovidio Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Millonarios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Castel to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Pabla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gaston Socorro. Francisco Pabla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Isaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Cornelio Egun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millonarios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Egun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Apuyaco getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Leon Muc hit a great ball. Godfredo Jacindo took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonzalo Rik. Gonzalo Rik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gonzalo Rik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Lluc in the 33rd minute of play. Gonzalo Rik came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Millonarios FC's Ovidio Olayo. But to his dismay, Ovidio Olayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 39th minute, Ovidio Olayo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Millonarios FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Cornelio Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Lisandro Mundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 47 played minutes Apuyaco got a freekick which was hit by Leon Muc. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ovidio Olayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Millonarios FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Olayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Rik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Apuyaco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Millonarios FC were winning 0-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinicio Lluc to make the kick off. Millonarios FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Apuyaco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vinicio Lluc took the corner. Vinicio Lluc might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gonzalo Rik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Lluc ran back to his position shaking his head. Millonarios FC's Vinicio Lluc got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ovidio Olayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gonzalo Rik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Millonarios FC's Ovidio Olayo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ignacio Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Millonarios FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
