Evaristo Ledesma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Firsag FC booed when InstitutoAtleticoFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, one of InstitutoAtleticoFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for InstitutoAtleticoFC. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Firsag FC. Dario Ilixo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Armando Buison. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Firsag FC's zone, Cirilo Espiridion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Ledesma came out of the goal and Cirilo Espiridion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carolo Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Lizbeth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Emilio Leoncio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Ledesma. Firsag FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Leoncio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Armando Buison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Gustau in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Roque Evarado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Armando Buison was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aristides Tirso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. InstitutoAtleticoFC's Emilio Leoncio got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cirilo Espiridion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Emilio Leoncio from a close distance when the talented Evaristo Ledesma managed to make a qualified save. Firsag FC's players were relieved. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aristides Tirso to make the kick off. When Firsag FC's Aristides Tirso in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye InstitutoAtleticoFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 56th minute, Emilio Leoncio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eulalio Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Buison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixto Iliana in the 63rd minute. In the 69th minute, Emilio Leoncio made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Ledesma. Firsag FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Firsag FC's goalkeeper Evaristo Ledesma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evaristo Ledesma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Eulalio Botello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eulalio Botello came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the InstitutoAtleticoFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Botello couldn't finish the play. Cornelio Gustau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Armando Buison made a huge save. If Carolo Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Lizbeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Evaristo Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Buison acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abelardo Juvenal. Cornelio Gustau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Armando Buison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Botello in the 93rd minute of play forced Firsag FC's goalkeeper Evaristo Ledesma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. InstitutoAtleticoFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
