The referee ignored Atahona's protests and gave Nicanor Ostots a yellow card for diving instead. Valentin Gudesteo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 11 in the game by Teodosio Gerazan from a close distance when the talented Lino Quilo managed to make a qualified save. Atahona's players were relieved. Lino Quilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Gudesteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Damian Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Benicio Sasoin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicanor Ostots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paolo Romo charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Romo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Atahona's Paolo Romo got a free kick in the 24th minute. Nicanor Ostots got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Everardo Darien was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Teodosio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Gerazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Quilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Gudesteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Lino Quilo had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Valentin Gudesteo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atahona's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Everardo Darien was slow to take the kick. During this time El de Torcuato FC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Gudesteo in the 43rd minute of play forced Atahona's goalkeeper Lino Quilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Valentin Gudesteo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lino Quilo. Valentin Gudesteo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Gudesteo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Valentin Gudesteo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Quilo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 56th match minute, El de Torcuato FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Darien to maneuver through the defense. If Teodosio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Teodosio Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El de Torcuato FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodosio Gerazan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Gudesteo in the 67th minute of play forced Atahona's goalkeeper Lino Quilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El de Torcuato FC's Teodosio Gerazan got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodosio Gerazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Lino Quilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Atahona's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Gerazan came free, but Lino Quilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Mikolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teodosio Gerazan came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the El de Torcuato FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Gerazan couldn't finish the play. El de Torcuato FC's Valentin Gudesteo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Gudesteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lino Quilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Mikolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benicio Sasoin. El de Torcuato FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiburcio Mikolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atahona players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El de Torcuato FC.
