Maschwitz FC's Matias Laffitte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Benitez in the 5th minute of play. Damian Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Laffitte having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Benitez in the 12th minute of play forced Maschwitz FC's goalkeeper Matias Laffitte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Damian Benitez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atahona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Benitez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Tiburcio Mikolas made a precise shot to the right of Matias Laffitte. Maschwitz FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nicanor Ostots's late challenge caught a Maschwitz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Ostots helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maschwitz FC's goalkeeper Matias Laffitte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tiburcio Mikolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Laffitte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Maschwitz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Benitez came free, but Matias Laffitte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atahona's Eriberto Serapio got a free kick in the 44th minute. Lino Quilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Eliazar in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Atahona booed when Maschwitz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Damian Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Laffitte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maschwitz FC's zone, Damian Benitez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Laffitte came out of the goal and Damian Benitez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiburcio Mikolas got free with Matias Laffitte in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Atahona defense, Hipolito Eliazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Quilo. The Atahona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Quilo should have stopped the shot. Damian Benitez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiburcio Mikolas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Laffitte having to interfere. Hipolito Eliazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lino Quilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Atahona got a freekick which was hit by Damian Benitez. Atahona's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
