Tadeo Gaxan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Montes in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Ortle made a kick off. The supporters of Recreativo los Incas booed when Quilmes Athletic club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Atarratze didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Domingos Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Recreativo los Incas's Ricardo Ulizes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Ortle in the 85th minute of play. Domingos Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Quilmes Athletic club's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Montes came free, but Tadeo Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quilmes Athletic club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
