Americo Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Lino Quilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Benitez made a kick off. Adan Matia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Quilo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Generoso Urdaspal notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Atahona's Lino Quilo. Lino Quilo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiburcio Mikolas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Eliseo Fernandez made a huge save. Americo Matthew hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Americo Matthew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Atahona's Damian Benitez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eliseo Fernandez. That made the score 2-2 after 80 minutes of play. Adan Matia struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Lino Quilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Caldera F.C. Generoso Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Quilo having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
