The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guerrero's Benedicto Eleazar got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleto Norino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Basilio Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Eutor scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Romelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Guerrero's Cleto Norino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Joaquin Pirmin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Benedicto Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Basilio Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Eleazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Romelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Donato Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jeremias Dominix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Santana in the 44th minute of play forced Guerrero's goalkeeper Jeremias Dominix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Santana was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anacleto Enmanuel got free with Jeremias Dominix in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute of the game, Luisito Lekubegi landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 62 minutes into the game, Joaquin Pirmin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guerrero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate FC the free kick. Joaquin Pirmin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Salvador Eutor fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guerrero's protests and gave Salvador Eutor a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, River Plate FC's Erasmo Isaio tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Guerrero's Jeremias Dominix got control of the ball when Anacleto Enmanuel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anacleto Enmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jeremias Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Cleto Norino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate FC's zone, Benedicto Eleazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Romelio came out of the goal and Benedicto Eleazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Cleto Norino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guerrero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Norino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
