An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Martinez in the 24th minute of play forced Los Magnificos F.C.'s goalkeeper Ildefonso Ruy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Salvador Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Magnificos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Gaizko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salvador Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Freddy Gaizko made a huge save. Salvador Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Gaizko having to interfere. Fabian Distiratsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Tiburcio Prejun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Magnificos F.C. and the Durazno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristian Solustiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ildefonso Ruy. Los Magnificos F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Fabian Distiratsu made the kick off in the second half. Francisco Cordarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Ruy having to interfere. Los Magnificos F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Federico Martinez 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. If Federico Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Gaxan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ildefonso Ruy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 66th minute, Epifanio Medero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Federico Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Ruy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Salvador Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Salvador Torres notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Durazno FC's Freddy Gaizko. Freddy Gaizko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Federico Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durazno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Ruy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Federico Martinez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ildefonso Ruy, passed just outside the right post. 88 minutes into the game, Durazno FC's Alfredo Gaxan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ildefonso Ruy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Durazno FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
