Arturo Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Gaizko having to interfere. If Desiderio Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ranquelcó's Arturo Quilo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Arturo Quilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Guifre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Federico Martinez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Desiderio Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Quilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Quilo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baldomero Guifre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Gaxan in the 64th minute of the match. Desiderio Valente struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Freddy Gaizko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranquelcó. In the 75th minute, Alfredo Gaxan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Evelio Corderun fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranquelcó's protests and gave Evelio Corderun a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the game, one of Ranquelcó:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lorenzo Isaio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 88th minute of the match Vladimiro Cordeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Guifre skillfully saved the ball. Ranquelcó's Baldomero Guifre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Gaxan in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Arturo Elequemedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute, Alfredo Gaxan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomero Guifre was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Durazno FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
