Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arturo Quilo started the match with the kick off. Mauricio Locaio took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Guifre. Baldomero Guifre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Baldomero Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Nabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Ranquelcó defense, Romeo Perfecto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomero Guifre. The Ranquelcó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Guifre should have stopped the shot. Paolo Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Baldomero Guifre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Paolo Nabar came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Villa Alem de Tucuman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Nabar couldn't finish the play. Arturo Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Celino having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ranquelcó's Arturo Quilo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Arturo Elequemedo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Elequemedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Ranquelcó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Elequemedo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 34 minutes, Paolo Nabar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Alem de Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Nabar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquelcó's zone, Mauricio Locaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Guifre came out of the goal and Mauricio Locaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Guifre came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Alem de Tucuman's Paolo Nabar. But to his dismay, Paolo Nabar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 45 played minutes Ranquelcó got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Valente. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Desiderio Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranquelcó's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Valente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Celino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauricio Locaio to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ranquelcó's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Piarres came free, but Baldomero Guifre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Melquiades Quinito sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Guifre skillfully saved the ball. Ranquelcó's Arturo Elequemedo got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Arturo Elequemedo off the ground. The supporters of Villa Alem de Tucuman booed when Ranquelcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Elequemedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paolo Nabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Mauricio Locaio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baldomero Guifre, 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Mauricio Locaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Alem de Tucuman's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Locaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Perfecto kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Villa Alem de Tucuman's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
