Flavio Pelayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, azules de oro's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Martxot came free, but Flavio Gonsalve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Maureo got free with Flavio Pelayo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felipe Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Flavio Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sportivo Municipal's Flavio Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Maureo in the 61st minute of play. Flavio Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Maureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Joel Martxot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Gonsalve having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Aldo Tabby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. azules de oro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Municipal the free kick. After 90 played minutes azules de oro got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Tabby. In the 92nd minute of the match Leopoldo Piearres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Gonsalve showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sportivo Municipal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
