In the 6th match minute, Barrio Latino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Sugoi to maneuver through the defense. When Victorio Chano came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Gobernador Costa F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Chano couldn't finish the play. Aristides Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Fagildo having to interfere. Gobernador Costa F.C's Aristides Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristides Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes in the game, Aristides Fernandes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Silverio Markel put in a rough tackle. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gobernador Costa F.C! Haroldo Delfino placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Maximo Ixona kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Eleuterio Asur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gobernador Costa F.C booed when Barrio Latino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Ixona didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Leandro Santikurtz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Aristides Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gobernador Costa F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Barrio Latino's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Fernandes came free, but Hugo Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrio Latino's Hugo Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Fernandes in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aristides Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Aristides Fernandes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hugo Fagildo. The goal made the score 0-1. After 54 minutes, Aristides Fernandes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Barrio Latino's Hugo Fagildo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Aristides Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Fagildo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Dominix during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gobernador Costa F.C's goalkeeper Aureliano Ieltxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aristides Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorio Chano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Hugo Fagildo made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Teofilo Florinio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureliano Ieltxu. Gobernador Costa F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Florinio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 84 played minutes Gobernador Costa F.C got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Sabino. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Segundo Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gobernador Costa F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Sabino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristides Fernandes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Fagildo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Fernandes got free with Hugo Fagildo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victorio Chano struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Hugo Fagildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gobernador Costa F.C. The audience was convinced that Aristides Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Fagildo was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Gobernador Costa F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barrio Latino.
