Spectators: 7188 (Terracing: 5393, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Astor Elazar started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melchor Salvino during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Sportivo Chilim Balam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Salvino to maneuver through the defense. Romulo Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Itzaina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santo Rito was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in elasmopalpus's zone, Igor Dei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Rito came out of the goal and Igor Dei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 minutes of play, elasmopalpus's Romulo Fernandes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oscar Feliz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, elasmopalpus's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Itzaina came free, but Santo Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Igor Dei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Cidro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Alvaro Itzaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Chilim Balam's goalkeeper Oscar Feliz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, elasmopalpus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio George to maneuver through the defense. When Alvaro Itzaina came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Sportivo Chilim Balam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Itzaina couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Chilim Balam's zone, Astor Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Feliz came out of the goal and Astor Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Sportivo Chilim Balam's Oscar Feliz got control of the ball when Romulo Fernandes tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Igor Dei made the kick off in the second half. Santo Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Dei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Itzaina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Dei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Santo Rito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Monico during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Sportivo Chilim Balam got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Monico. After 72 minutes of play Sportivo Chilim Balam's Alfredo Monico was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 73rd minute, Alfredo Monico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Elazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Astor Elazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. elasmopalpus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Elazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Fernandes in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Feliz saved Sportivo Chilim Balam from getting behind. Santo Rito made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Alvaro Itzaina sent off a good shot on target. Sportivo Chilim Balam's Alvaro Itzaina got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes Sportivo Chilim Balam got a freekick which was hit by Igor Dei. Cristobal Katia, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Astor Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Astor Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
