Santo Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Calvino in the 12th minute of the match. Romulo Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Calvino in the 19th minute of play forced elasmopalpus's goalkeeper Santo Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Fernandess short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Edgardo Elodio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aurelio Vergaray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santo Rito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Aurelio Vergaray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santo Rito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match was over Macapillo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than elasmopalpus throughout the match.
