The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filomeno Gartzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Bermudo in the 6th minute of the match. Matias Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. German Terciero hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Ponce in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Berdoi saved DE LEON FC from getting behind. In the 10th match minute, DE LEON FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Gar to maneuver through the defense. Arnulfo Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Berdoi having to interfere. In the 16th minute, New Wildermuth's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Basilio Karlo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arnulfo Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mauricio Berdoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Karlo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Filomeno Gartzi made a huge save. New Wildermuth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DE LEON FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, New Wildermuth's Dante Bihar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Basilio Karlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Gartzi having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Bermudo made the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Gartzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Bermudo in the 52nd minute of play. Tiburcio Bermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Gartzi having to interfere. New Wildermuth's Filomeno Gartzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Karlo in the 56th minute of play. Basilio Karlo might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Gartzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The DE LEON FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while New Wildermuth had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
