Victoriano Amato blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Desiderio Misael having to make a save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Paulin made a kick off. FC Leverkusen were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after El Canaya Fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nestor Marques took the corner. The corner ended in Nestor Marques almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Canaya Fc's Desiderio Misael did a great save. The supporters of El Canaya Fc booed when FC Leverkusen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Ricardo Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Leverkusen's Angelino Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Vela in the 60th minute of play. Angelino Azubeli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Leverkusen succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though El Canaya Fc had controlled the match.
