The Pintos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Baleren should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Cristian Marin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Abel Iraunkor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseo Kelemen hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Sarracino in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lisandro Stanislao saved El Chavo from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Celso Abar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of El Chavo's Lisandro Stanislao. Lisandro Stanislao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 48th minute Evaristo Sarracino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Stanislao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Maxin to make the kick off.
