Spectators: 6668 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) ROMAN-TICOS's Cesar Solustiano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Desiderio Misael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Endira in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of El Canaya Fc booed when ROMAN-TICOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Ongile got in the 9th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Ambrosio Dominix. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Paulin in the 13th minute of play forced ROMAN-TICOS's goalkeeper Ambrosio Dominix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ROMAN-TICOS's Bernabe Venerando got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, El Canaya Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Solustiano came free, but Desiderio Misael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Nalo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Desiderio Misael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Solustiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ambrosio Dominix made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Anier Vela sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes, Isidro Jerrald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROMAN-TICOS and the El Canaya Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Ricardo Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the El Canaya Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Paulin couldn't finish the play. Cesar Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Misael having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Modesto Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Solustiano in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desiderio Misael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gogo Endira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Misael having to interfere. Desiderio Misael came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by ROMAN-TICOS's Erubiel Soter. But to his dismay, Erubiel Soter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ambrosio Dominix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Vela in the 52nd minute of the match. Desiderio Misael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Solustiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anier Vela might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambrosio Dominix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anier Vela ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Paulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrosio Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Paulin in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Chale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ROMAN-TICOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canaya Fc the free kick. A collision led to ROMAN-TICOS getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Wilfredo Chale hit a great ball. Cesar Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Anier Vela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Canaya Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Vela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Nemesio Palos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Vela in the 77th minute of play forced ROMAN-TICOS's goalkeeper Ambrosio Dominix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gogo Endira came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the ROMAN-TICOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Endira couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, El Canaya Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Silvino to maneuver through the defense. Fermin Rius, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Cesar Solustiano got free in front of the goal in the 88th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Desiderio Misael was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Cesar Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The El Canaya Fc players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
