Honorio Dominix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evelio Madeo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Honorio Dominix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Gagriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Honorio Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Dominix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Dominix in the 38th minute of play forced 9 de julio de Morteros's goalkeeper Edgard Gagriel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after 9 de julio de Morteros's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amadeo Gaitano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Amadeo Gaitano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgard Gagriel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edgard Gagriel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Quinito in the 52nd minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Marcos Jerano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Christobal during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
