Ramiro Ramond came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Sonata's Higinio Bibiano. But to his dismay, Higinio Bibiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Braulio Admon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Aguilera in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Benigno Enol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to La Bomba F.C getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Isaias Orlin hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, FC Sonata's Benigno Enol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Ramond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximo Cidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Bomba F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! La Bomba F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Cidro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximo Cidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Braulio Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Urbano Aguilera might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braulio Admon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hipolito Brais didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Sonata's Higinio Bibiano got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The La Bomba F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Ramond should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC Sonata's zone, Maximo Cidro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Admon came out of the goal and Maximo Cidro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Hipolito Brais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Sonata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Bomba F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Sonata's Hipolito Brais got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 82 minutes, Alfonso Xabat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Bomba F.C and the FC Sonata players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Benigno Enol in the 84th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ramiro Ramond kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Alfonso Xabat was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 91st match minute, La Bomba F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Xabat to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute Higinio Bibiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Ramond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
