Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victorino Orlin started the match with the kick off. 10 minutes into the match, Villa de mayo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Orlin came free, but Leonel Librado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Beturian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Evis having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Piro FC - River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Cesario came free, but Severo Evis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Frascuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Paulo Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Evis having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match Romulo Urtsua sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel Librado skillfully saved the ball. Piro FC - River Plate's Teofilo Intxixu got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Cuartio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Victorino Orlin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Librado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Victorino Orlin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonel Librado, 2-0. Villa de mayo F.C's Leonel Librado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Villa de mayo F.C from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Cesario made a kick off. Teofilo Intxixu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Villa de mayo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Egoi. Victorino Orlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Librado having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Cesario in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severo Evis saved Piro FC - River Plate from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Villa de mayo F.C's zone, Victorino Orlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Librado came out of the goal and Victorino Orlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes of play, Piro FC - River Plate's Teofilo Intxixu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Librado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Teofilo Intxixu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Librado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Intxixu in the 88th minute of play. Leonel Librado came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Piro FC - River Plate's Teofilo Intxixu. But to his dismay, Teofilo Intxixu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Nemesio Endura's late challenge caught a Piro FC - River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Endura helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Villa de mayo F.C getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nemesio Endura hit a great ball. Eliseo Roldan didn't quite understand what happened when in the 98 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Piro FC - River Plate had played much better football throughout.
