The audience was convinced that Tobias Nuñez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Librado was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Tobias Nuñez struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Leonel Librado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club A. Victoriano Arena. Samuel Beturian took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoro Felo. Isidoro Felo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Isidoro Felo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Beturian in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 51 minutes, Tobias Nuñez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club A. Victoriano Arena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Nuñez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leon Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Librado having to interfere. Leonel Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Nuñez in the 60th minute of the match. Leonel Librado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Nuñez's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Amadeo Arce's late challenge caught a Villa de mayo F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Arce helped the player get up and apologised. Leonel Librado came out of the goal and Jeremias Mazuste tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Librado having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Villa de mayo F.C could leave the field as winners, despite Club A. Victoriano Arena having more of the ball for most of the match.
