Narciso Restu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ulises Prejun hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Le Classique were awarded a corner. Ricardo Florinio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Le Classique's Esteban Huly to fire away a dangerous shot which Rafael Fiz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gonzalo Reno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Tiniebra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, A.A. Estudiantes's Ulises Prejun got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Igor Sanson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ricardo Florinio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cristian Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Le Classique's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Kinsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Fiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Le Classique were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Huly made a kick off. Julian Cebo's late challenge caught a Le Classique's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Cebo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, A.A. Estudiantes's Julian Cebo got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Nunez Manny got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rafael Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Huly in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Esteban Huly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Fiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th match minute, A.A. Estudiantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Sanson to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Esteban Huly reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rafael Fiz. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 66th minute, Esteban Huly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Huly in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Fiz saved A.A. Estudiantes from getting behind. Esteban Huly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, A.A. Estudiantes's Feliberto Ganix got a free kick in the 75th minute. If Esteban Huly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute, Valentin Jesco fired a really elegant long shot, but Rafael Fiz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. If Nunez Manny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Manny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Fiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, A.A. Estudiantes's goalkeeper Rafael Fiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nunez Manny. After having played for 89 minutes, Esteban Huly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Le Classique's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Huly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilano Ospetsu during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Le Classique played a much better game than A.A. Estudiantes and deserved their victory. The A.A. Estudiantes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
