After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Raimundo Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universitario's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Eli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Jonatan Rivas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Romeo Eli to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Universitario booed when Crazymouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Garaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Universitario getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Atilano Hernando hit a great ball. After 23 minutes of play, Universitario's Jonatan Rivas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Eli was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute, Raimundo Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jonatan Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Raimundo Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Eli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matias Rivero was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Jonatan Rivas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeo Eli was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Garaona during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raimundo Francis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeo Eli having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Crazymouth's Gervasio Bertol got a free kick in the 67th minute. Romeo Eli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Eli having to interfere. Gervasio Bertol hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Raimundo Francis struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Romeo Eli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario. After a rather tough play, Crazymouth's Matias Rivero got a free kick in the 79th minute. Raimundo Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Eli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes Crazymouth got a freekick which was hit by Matias Rivero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Francis in the 89th minute of play forced Crazymouth's goalkeeper Romeo Eli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Crazymouth's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Francis came free, but Romeo Eli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Universitario players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
