Spectators: 7079 (Terracing: 5479, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Generoso Palos took the kick off in the first half of the match. SAN LORENZO's Severo Bordat managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Moises Charro in the 4 minute of the game. Orlando Marcones lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 5 minutes into the game, one of Vela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Lázaro Cordearo, was totally fooled by SAN LORENZO's Carolo Valery, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Lázaro Cordearo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Goi in the 10th minute. Venancio Paulin might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Iturri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Venancio Paulin ran back to his position shaking his head. If Melchor Dolfos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vela's Lázaro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Cordarius in the 22nd minute of play. Lázaro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Bordat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Moises Charro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vela and the SAN LORENZO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Moises Charro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO's Faustino Goi got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th match minute, SAN LORENZO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Valery to maneuver through the defense. Santos Nalo took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Iturri. Carlos Iturri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Venancio Paulin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Iturri having to make a save. Melchor Dolfos struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Lázaro Cordearo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO. 41 minutes into the match, Vela's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Cordarius came free, but Lázaro Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Cordearo was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Natalio Cordarius capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Natalio Cordarius really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natalio Cordarius to make the kick off. A collision led to SAN LORENZO getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Severo Bordat hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Paulin came free, but Carlos Iturri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Cordarius, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Venancio Paulin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lázaro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Bordat in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Goi in the 72nd minute of play forced Vela's goalkeeper Lázaro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Erlantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vela's Lázaro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Cordarius in the 76th minute of play. Lázaro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Cordarius in the 80th minute of play. Carlos Iturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Paulin in the 81st minute of play. Faustino Goi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Natalio Cordarius scored 3-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lázaro Cordearo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lázaro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Bordat in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Natalio Cordarius made a precise shot to the right of Lázaro Cordearo. Vela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Faustino Goi took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lázaro Cordearo. Lázaro Cordearo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. There was no doubt that SAN LORENZO were the better team. SAN LORENZO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
