The audience was convinced that Natalio Cordarius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Urtungo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Faustino Goi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Lucio Ricart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Iturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Iturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Ricart in the 29th minute of play. Faustino Goi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Clemente Urtungo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Dupuy's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Mancio came free, but Clemente Urtungo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clemente Urtungo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Goi in the 37th minute. Clemente Urtungo made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Melchor Dolfos sent off a good shot on target. Natalio Cordarius struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Clemente Urtungo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO. Carlos Iturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Maidana in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natalio Cordarius to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's Natalio Cordarius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemente Urtungo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Iturri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Carlos Iturri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Maidana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natalio Cordarius in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Urtungo saved Club Atlético Dupuy from getting behind. Lucio Ricart kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Natalio Cordarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN LORENZO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Cordarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Carlos Iturri successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carolo Valery's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Dupuy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carolo Valery helped the player get up and apologised. Carolo Valery hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Fernando Luzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Carlos Iturri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Urtungo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severo Bordat went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Lucio Ricart fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Dupuy's protests and gave Lucio Ricart a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Club Atlético Dupuy got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Ricart. 90 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goalkeeper Carlos Iturri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Dantae. In the 93rd minute Melchor Dolfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Urtungo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Faustino Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
