Spectators: 6508 (Terracing: 5508, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Astor Rico made the kick off which started today's match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Generoso Palos got free with Augusto Shantala in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Generoso Palos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hume AFC's Augusto Shantala. Augusto Shantala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gaston Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vela's Lázaro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Rico in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Ramiro Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Placido Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vela's Ramiro Romero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Domingo Celino, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Vela's Lázaro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Rico in the 27th minute of play. Lázaro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Rico in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes Vela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Octavio Gau who took care of the corner kick. In the 32nd minute Placido Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vela getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ramiro Romero hit a great ball. Vela's Generoso Palos got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Alonso in the 38th minute of play forced Hume AFC's goalkeeper Augusto Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Markel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Markel in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lázaro Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Generoso Palos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Augusto Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 62nd minute, Venancio Paulin made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Shantala. Hume AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Vela's Lázaro Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Vela from getting a goal against them. Venancio Paulin struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Augusto Shantala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vela. Generoso Tino's late challenge caught a Vela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Tino helped the player get up and apologised. Generoso Tino kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Augusto Shantala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Paulin in the 76th minute of the match. Augusto Shantala came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Vela's Generoso Palos. But to his dismay, Generoso Palos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 84 minutes into the match, Generoso Palos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Shantala. Hume AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Palos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Generoso Palos struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Augusto Shantala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vela. Ramiro Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Shantala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, Hume AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Palos came free, but Augusto Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Palos in the 94th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Generoso Palos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Shantala was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Vela's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
