Generoso Palos struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Eleuterio Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vela. Teofilo Endura charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teofilo Endura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teofilo Endura kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Generoso Palos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evelio Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Cordearo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in los traperos fc's zone, Generoso Palos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Lopez came out of the goal and Generoso Palos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Gaston Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, los traperos fc's Benito Froylan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lázaro Cordearo. Lázaro Cordearo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Generoso Palos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of los traperos fc's Eleuterio Lopez. Eleuterio Lopez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Generoso Palos took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eleuterio Lopez. Eleuterio Lopez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in los traperos fc's zone, Generoso Palos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Lopez came out of the goal and Generoso Palos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Generoso Palos to make the kick off. Lázaro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Perfecto in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Perfecto in the 54th minute of play forced Vela's goalkeeper Lázaro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Rami's late challenge caught a los traperos fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With his leg Eleuterio Lopez managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Vela's Generoso Palos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eleuterio Lopez made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Generoso Palos sent off a good shot on target. los traperos fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Generoso Palos scored to the left of an out of position Eleuterio Lopez, making the score, 2-4. Vela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
