The referee ignored Bonnement's protests and gave Jorge Franco a yellow card for diving instead. Cristobal Locaio struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Fabio Senin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonnement. Leon Rechoncho's Fabio Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Locaio in the 29th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Leon Rechoncho got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Fiz. Amado Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastasio Argina was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 38th minute, Anastasio Argina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Gizon might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robustiano Satordi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Gizon ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Leon Rechoncho's Igor Gizon got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leon Rechoncho's goalkeeper Fabio Senin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Constantino Oliveiros short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Fabio Senin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Igor Gizon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Satordi having to interfere. Robustiano Satordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Gizon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Robustiano Satordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amado Sanchez in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Satordi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 89 minutes, Amado Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leon Rechoncho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Sanchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Robustiano Satordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Rechoncho's Igor Gizon got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Leon Rechoncho failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
