Spectators: 7277 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Almafuerte's Enrique Gipuzkoa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Enrique Gipuzkoa made a precise shot to the right of Blas Eutor. Estrella Dorada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A hard shot by Sebastian Intxixu from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Marciano Cordara's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The long shot by Lisandro Urtsua in the 16th minute really tested Marciano Cordara's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 20 minutes, Cecilio Ticho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrella Dorada and the Almafuerte players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Estrella Dorada getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cecilio Ticho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Estrella Dorada's zone, Enrique Gipuzkoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blas Eutor came out of the goal and Enrique Gipuzkoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sebastian Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrella Dorada's protests and gave Sebastian Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. Haroldo Odol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blas Eutor having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Cecilio Ticho could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Marciano Cordara however easily saved by the left post. Blas Eutor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Gil, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Blas Eutor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Gipuzkoa in the 38th minute of play. Blas Eutor came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Almafuerte's Severino Gil. But to his dismay, Severino Gil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Fernando Txordon hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Enrique Gipuzkoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blas Eutor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Harri to strike the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Blas Eutor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Enrique Gipuzkoa sped through Estrella Dorada's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Blas Eutor. Enrique Gipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blas Eutor having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Honorato Leobardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Almafuerte made a substitution. Ruben Ibon replaced Haroldo Odol. Estrella Dorada's Blas Eutor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Estrella Dorada from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the match, Estrella Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Gipuzkoa came free, but Blas Eutor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Acevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigio Acevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Estrella Dorada's Remigio Acevedo got a free kick in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Estrella Dorada's Blas Eutor got control of the ball when Enrique Gipuzkoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Desiderio Cisco might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blas Eutor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Desiderio Cisco ran back to his position shaking his head. Almafuerte's Inocencio Maju was substituted for Fernando Txordon. After a defensive mix-up in Estrella Dorada's zone, Enrique Gipuzkoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blas Eutor came out of the goal and Enrique Gipuzkoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Enrique Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almafuerte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Gipuzkoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 94 played minutes Almafuerte got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Cisco. Almafuerte's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
