Filomeno Grabiel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Chumo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Candido Matei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Artizar in the 9th minute of play forced Tosno AFC's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Cordara made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gabriel-Omar Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. Tosno AFC's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Artizar in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marco Normando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Cordara was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Artizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Tosno AFC defense, Adan Artizar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Óscar Cordoba. The Tosno AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Óscar Cordoba should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Tosno AFC's Marco Normando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Cordara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Filomeno Grabiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 56th minute Cieneguita were awarded a corner. Erasmo Cruz went to the cornerflag to take it. Adan Artizar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Óscar Cordoba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samuel Cordara came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Tosno AFC's Marco Normando. But to his dismay, Marco Normando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 64 minutes into the game, Cieneguita's Adan Artizar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Óscar Cordoba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 68th minute, Filomeno Grabiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Gabriel-Omar Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tosno AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel-Omar Batistuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Cordara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amado Indalecio hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Filomeno Grabiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tosno AFC's Óscar Cordoba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Tosno AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Tosno AFC's Gabriel-Omar Batistuta got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Marco Normando might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Cordara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Normando ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adan Artizar got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Óscar Cordoba was a little too slow when Arnulfo Chumo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-4. Cieneguita's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
