Rio Cuarto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Jon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artemio Ilazki kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Rio Cuarto's Claudio Criston tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Esther getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Filomeno Jesco hit a great ball. When Christian Jon came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Jon couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Esther's Filomeno Jesco got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A hard shot 23 in the game by Victorino Satordi from a close distance when the talented Arnulfo Chumo managed to make a qualified save. Esther's players were relieved. Ciro Berdaitz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnulfo Chumo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Mederi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Joaquin Astrada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esther's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Astrada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esther eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
