Spectators: 7057 (Terracing: 5399, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 3) Monserrat FC's Dionisio Ekhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Monserrat FC from getting a goal against them. When Teobaldo Osoro fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peña AFC's protests and gave Teobaldo Osoro a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peña AFC! Clemente Dacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peña AFC's Prospero Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Hermon in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Peña AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Lamberto came free, but Prospero Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Monserrat FC's goalkeeper Dionisio Ekhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Prospero Mitxaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Hermon, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Paulino Nuñez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Ekhi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. If Paulino Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Dacio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Prospero Mitxaut came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Monserrat FC's Faustino Hermon. But to his dismay, Faustino Hermon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Paulino Nuñez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clemente Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Ekhi having to interfere. Paulino Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Ekhi having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 53rd minute, Gualterio Lamberto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 54 minutes, Guido Noe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peña AFC and the Monserrat FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Peña AFC's Guido Noe got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Gualterio Lamberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peña AFC's Prospero Mitxaut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dionisio Ekhi came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Peña AFC's Paulino Nuñez. But to his dismay, Paulino Nuñez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Monserrat FC's Dionisio Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Dacio in the 72nd minute of play. Paulo Ubarna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Prospero Mitxaut. Peña AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Clemente Dacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute of the match Leon Birjaio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dionisio Ekhi skillfully saved the ball. Prospero Mitxaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Lamberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Faustino Hermon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulino Nuñez during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dionisio Ekhi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Monserrat FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monserrat FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
