After 20 minutes, Guillermo Tiniebra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talita FC and the Matheu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Saverio Urtsua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Marcelino Cesaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Tiniebra in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Matheu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Dantel to maneuver through the defense. Talita FC's Delmar Ricart got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Talita FC's Antonio Gauargi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Guib in the 60th minute of play. If Guillermo Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute of the match Alvaro Mikelar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelino Cesaro skillfully saved the ball. Talita FC's Guillermo Tiniebra got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artemio Arlo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Baldomero Canor, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Talita FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
