Dreamteam F.C's Paulo Celipe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Larpe hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Leandro Ubendu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Paulo Celipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Santos Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justo Txaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Carlomagno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidio Tipi charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidio Tipi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dreamteam F.C booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Tipi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leopoldo Carlomagno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Justo Txaran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Celipe made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Santos Fernanco sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Carlomagno to make the kick off. River Plate's Ignacio Tximitx was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulo Celipe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Urbano Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Celipe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Ubendu in the 62nd minute of play. Santos Fernanco struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo Celipe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. River Plate's Justo Txaran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Dreamteam F.C's Paulo Celipe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Fernanco in the 76th minute of play. Santos Fernanco took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Celipe. Paulo Celipe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Leopoldo Carlomagno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Urbano Turi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dreamteam F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Turi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Txaran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. River Plate's Justo Txaran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Dreamteam F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
