Club Atlético Piano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Osoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andres Orixe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Conrado Macias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andres Orixe took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conrado Macias. Conrado Macias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Andres Orixe scored 0-6 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrado Macias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Salvador Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Gaztea during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlético Piano booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Gaztea didn't get a good kick on the ball.
