The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Salvador Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saavedra Unido's goalkeeper Gustavo Mincho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salvador Osoitz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gustavo Mincho came out and tried to block the shot, but Salvador Osoitz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Salvador Osoitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Mincho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Saavedra Unido's Gustavo Mincho got control of the ball when Andres Orixe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andres Orixe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 33rd playminute. Club Atlético Piano's Andres Orixe got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Urbasa charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Urbasa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, one of Club Atlético Piano:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Piano. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Urbasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Mincho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Osoitz in the 55th minute of play. Andres Orixe took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Mincho. Gustavo Mincho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Gustavo Mincho came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Piano's Andres Orixe. But to his dismay, Andres Orixe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 74th match minute, Saavedra Unido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Jakue to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Andres Orixe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Salvador Osoitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Mincho. Saavedra Unido's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Osoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The Club Atlético Piano fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Club Atlético Piano's Salvador Osoitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Andres Orixe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Mincho was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. A collision led to Saavedra Unido getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Virgilio Bastiaro hit a great ball. Godofredo Jago took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustavo Mincho. Saavedra Unido's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Osoitz in the 100th minute of play forced Saavedra Unido's goalkeeper Gustavo Mincho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético Piano fully deserved thier win.
