Spectators: 6675 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anier Cebo started the match with the kick off. The audience held their breath when Guillermo Telmo in the 8th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Conrado Macias's left hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Eate got free with Apolo Llope in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 15 minutes, Salvador Galo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahia Branca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Galo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Salbatore during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Justo Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Apolo Llope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Maximo Salbatore was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. After 21 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Salbatore. Bahia Branca's Salvador Galo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Salvador Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Hotz in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Macias saved River Plate from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Aquiles Euloxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Justo Eate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salvador Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Conrado Macias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Bahia Branca's Salvador Galo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Macias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Narciso Hotz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Macias. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Macias should have stopped the shot. When Anier Cebo fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Anier Cebo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bahia Branca booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Cebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Narciso Hotz made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Crispo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Justo Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Eate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Llope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Eate in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Bahia Branca getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Aquiles Euloxu hit a great ball. Isidoro Quexal charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Quexal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guillermo Telmo, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Conrado Macias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvador Galo in the 82nd minute. Justo Eate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Llope having to interfere. Justo Eate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bahia Branca getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cecilio Hartz hit a great ball. Guillermo Telmo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Generoso Urdaspal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia Branca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. In the 97thth minute of the game Narciso Hotz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Conrado Macias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bahia Branca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
