With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Argina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Delfino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Venerando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Argina having to interfere. Baldomiro Abastas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Argina came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Fisherton AFC's Cristo Lohitzun. But to his dismay, Cristo Lohitzun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Beat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jairo Venerando kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Evelio Beat struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Honorio Dei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Verón. David Delfino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Dei having to interfere. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fisherton AFC's goalkeeper Honorio Dei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Argina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Lohitzun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes Deportivo Verón got a freekick which was hit by Dante Jago. When Baldomiro Abastas came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Fisherton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Abastas couldn't finish the play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Delfino couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, David Delfino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorio Dei. Fisherton AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Delfino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Deportivo Verón's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
