Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Saturnino Nataniel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santi Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Azul the free kick. In the 21st minute, Saturnino Nataniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Azul's zone, Israel Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Arias came out of the goal and Israel Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Zacarias Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th match minute, Santi Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Fagondo to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Cleto Bernad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute Israel Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Santxol succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Israel Martinez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pastor Rainerio hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Deportivo Azul's Cleto Bernad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnulfo Sarracino. Arnulfo Sarracino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Deportivo Azul's Cleto Bernad got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Deportivo Azul booed when Santi Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Nataniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guido Horado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Arnulfo Sarracino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arnulfo Sarracino made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cleto Bernad sent off a good shot on target. When Guido Horado came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Deportivo Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Horado couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Azul left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santi Fc.
